History of the New York Institute of Massage Alumni Association
The Alumni Association was formed in April 1996 to provide a professional membership organization to NYIM graduates, health care providers, and Licensed Massage Therapists. Benefits include: continuing education opportunities, networking and business contacts, community service events, referral services and membership in the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) organization. Discounts are also available for professional insurance, advertising, and massage therapy supplies and equipment.

The alumni Association of The New York Institute of Massage is a not-for-profit professional organization of licensed massage therapist, committed to nurturing and promoting the highest quality and standards in therapeutic massage, by providing opportunities for continuing educating and peer support. Forging strong bonds with colleagues, creating unity and by preserving the high quality values of our profession.
