A Federal Pell Grant does not need to be repaid. Current year awards range from $400 to $4,050. The amount a student receives is based on the student's family's financial situation, enrollment status, and how much of the student's remaining education at the school falls within the current federal award year (July 1 though June 30). A student does not qualify for a Federal Pell Grant if they have a bachelor's degree.
