Don’t let the name
fool you! This class was originally descined for LMT’s working in a
chiropractic offce, however, it is appropriate for LMT’s working in any
medical setting. This course builds upon the fundamentals explored in Medical
Massage and includes information on improving patient assessment/documentation
for extremity conditions, formulating treatment plans, developing and
assessing outcome measures, insurance coding (ICD-9, CPT), and specific
hands-on work for each condition. Also discussed will be traditional medical
management for each condition as well as common findings (signs/symptoms).
Topics covered include (but are not limited to): Upper Cross Syndrome, TMJ
Dysfunction, Degenerative Disc Disease, Whiplash, Tension Headache,
Torticollis and Sinusitis. This course is appropriate for all Title VIII
professions wishing to expand their soft tissue treatment options (MD, DO, DC,
Nurse, PT, LMT or ATC).
