Campus Security

NYIM is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment. NYIM generates a "Campus Crime Report" annually detailing it’s procedures and any crimes that may have occurred on campus (in compliance with the Crime awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990). This report is also filed with the U.S. Department of Education. Each student is provided a copy of the procedures and current report during their orientation, prior to attendance. Any possible applicant for employment or enrollment can request, in writing, a copy from the Financial Aid Director.

The New York Institute of Massage utilizes a video surveillance system. This system is in place for the protection of our students and employees. It is designed so as to prevent and/or document any possible untoward or unprofessional behavior and theft. If any such things are reported or documented, the video documentation allows us to take swift and decisive action so as to protect our students and employees to the fullest extent possible. Video surveillance is operational in the classrooms, the entrance and the main office area. When instituting the system, NYIM has kept the privacy of its students and staff an utmost concern. No cameras are in place in the changing rooms, the clinics or the bathrooms nor will they be. Any questions or concerns with regard to the video surveillance should be addressed to Diane Dinsmore.
