Determination of Satisfactory Progress:

Satisfactory progress must be maintained in order for the student to remain enrolled at NYIM. To maintain satisfactory academic progress, students are required to:

In the event that the student fails to maintain satisfactory progress, NYIM will review the student’s academic record to determine if the student is capable of benefiting from continued enrollment. Students must receive a grade of 70% or higher in order to earn credit for the course. Failure to meet the minimum passing grade requirements will result in the student’s receiving an "F" grade for the course. The student must retake the course at an additional cost and meet or exceed the minimum passing grade.

A student must be making satisfactory academic progress in order to be eligible for financial aid. If a student loses eligibility for financial aid due to not maintaining satisfactory academic progress, the student will not regain eligibility to receive financial aid until the student establishes that he or she is once again making satisfactory academic progress.
