According to an article recently published in the Buffalo News (Buffalo Job Finder, Sunday, April 22, 2012 Edition), massage therapy ranks in the top five for jobs that can make $100,000 per year and does not require a college degree.  The article states the median salary for a massage therapist is $52,200.  The article goes on to say that the BLS predicts employment in this field will grow faster than average as more people learn about the benefits of massage.

You have worked very hard to earn your Massage Therapy diploma and you should be able to benefit from all that work!  The only thing standing in your way of being your own boss and making an average of $52,200, is the New York State Board Exam!  NYIM is now offering a series of eight classes just for you!  The classes have been specifically designed to help those individuals who have not successfully obtained their massage therapy license.  Everything from myology to neurology to oriental massage will be covered.  A lot of time will be spent on reviewing how to integrate information from one class to another.  A mock board exam will also be given and we will help you improve your test taking skills as well!  The schedule for the review classes is as follows:

The cost for the entire series of eight classes is $700.  To get the most out of each session, please come prepared.  It would be very helpful if you could spend some time studying the material prior to coming to the class. 

The next scheduled New York State Board Exam is going to be given in January 2013 (New York State has not released the exact date).   The registration date deadline to sign-up for the NYS Board is November 1, 2012. 

By attending these classes and with a lot of hard work, NYIM is very confident that you will successfully pass the board exam.  However, like anything in life, there are no guarantees!  NYIM does not guarantee that by taking these review classes, you will pass the board exam, but we promise that we will do everything we can to make sure you are very prepared to take the exam!
