REFUND POLICIES
Should a student cancel enrollment or be dismissed by NYIM for any reason, all refunds will be made in accordance with the following refund schedule:
1. All notifications must be made in writing either in person or by certified mail.
2. The registration fee and any additional tuition paid will be refunded if the applicant is not accepted by the school or if the student cancels within three (3) business days after signing the enrollment agreement.
3. Dismissal, withdrawal or cancellation after three (3) business days, but before the first class, will result in a refund of all tuition paid, minus the $150.00 nonrefundable portion of the registration fee.
4. Dismissal or cancellation after attendance has begun but prior to 60% completion of the course or program will result in a prorated refund computed on the number of hours remaining to be completed in relation to the total course or program hours less the nonrefundable portion of the registration fee $150.00.
5. Dismissal, withdrawl or cancellation after completing 60% of the course will result in no refund.
6. The termination date for refund computation purposes is the last date of actual attendance.
7. A refund will be issued within 60 days of dismissal or receipt of cancellation notice, in compliance with Federal Financial Aid refund policy.
8. Book Packages may be returned within 3 business days of purchase and must be in their original condition. A 25% restocking fee will be charged, shirts are non-returnable. After the first day of class no books can be returned.
9. The NYIM does not refund application fees. Students returning to complete the program will be required to pay for each class/course remaining. Student will be subject to a $100.00 re-enrollment fee. Comparable program information related to tuition, fees and program length is available from:

Note: Student receiving assistance from Federal Title IV programs may be subject to a special refund or return to Title IV requirements as of 10/07/2000 per federal regulations, provided they have completed less than 60% of the payment period for which aid was, or could have been, disbursed.
Federal regulations require the return of Title IV funds in the following order, if applicable: unsubsidized loans, subsidized loans, Perkins loans, Plus loans, Pell Grants, SEOG or other Title IV.
