Refund Policies

Should the student cancel enrollment or be dismissed by NYIM for any reason, all refunds will be made in accordance with the following:

All notifications must be made in writing either in person or by certified mail.

The registration fee and any additional tuition paid will be refunded if the applicant is not accepted by the school, or if the student cancels within three (3) business days after signing the enrollment agreement.

Dismissal, withdrawal or cancellations after the third (3) business day, but before the first class, will result in a refund of all tuition paid, minus the $150.00 nonrefundable portion of the registration fee.

Dismissal, withdrawal or cancellations after attendance has begun, but prior to 60% completion of a course or program, will result in a pro-rated refund computed on the number of hours completed. This is in relation to the total course/program hours, less the non-refundable portion of the registration fee and any unpaid charges.

Dismissal, withdraw, or cancellation after completing 60% of a course/or program will result in no refund.

The termination date for refund computation purposes is the last date of actual attendance.

A refund will be made within 60 days of dismissal or receipt of cancellation notice, or in compliance with Federal financial aid refund policy.

Book packages may be returned within 3 business days of purchase. They must be in their original condition, and accompanied by the store receipt. Shirts and scrubs are non-returnable. A 25% restocking fee will be charged. After the first day of class, NO book package items can be returned. There is a 30-day replacement policy on defective book package items only. NYIM does not refund application fees, background check fees, or credit check fees.
