Massage for the Hospitalized and Medically Frail
Description: This course is designed for the Massage Therapist who would like to work with clients in a hospital setting. Topics will include: Massaging clients with medical devices, infection control, massage therapy in the Hospital hierarchy, charting and documentation of massage, pressure considerations, site restrictions, positioning the client and working with hospital equipment and furniture. Attendees will also discuss how to market their service and how to start working in the hospital with their clients. Students will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the day. Students will also receive a copy of the book, Massage for the Hospital Patient and Medically Frail Client by Gayle Mac Donald with their paid enrollment.
